Thanks to the efforts of our staff, the SCCA is now expanding its workshops through the Fall and Spring seasons. A wide variety of art disciplines are available to suit the artist that rests in all of us. Visit with us throughout the year to see the workshop offerings available to you.

Workshop Offerings
 The Art Workshop Sessions:

February 9: Alvernia Music Class at SCCA with special guests World Music - Public Welcome • 8:00 PM

March 27: County High School Gallery Show and Coffee House featuring entertainment by high school musicians • 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

April 30: National Jazz Month. "Swing in to Spring" - live band. • 7:30 PM

May 7: Kentucky Derby Party : 5 - 8 PM

June 5: Bicentennial Professional County Artist's Gallery opening: 2 - 4:30 PM

June, July, and August: Summer Art Camp for kids ages 4-18 with performance by professional artists at the end of each session

September 24: Bicentennial Festival "Celebrate Us - Celebrate Schuylkill" at SCCA 12-8 PM - Public Welcome!

October 22: Poe Reading at SCCA 6pm. Public Welcome. Call for reservations.570-622-2788.

November 3, 4, & 5th: John O'Hara Dinner Theatre, "Butterfield 8", at Schuylkill County Club 6pm. Public Welcome. Call for reservations at 570-622-2788.

November 12: Jordan Brothers House Party, an SCCA event to be held at Pottsville Club. Public welcome. Call for reservations.

December 3 & 4: Christkinldmarkt at SCCA. Stop in and do some holiday shopping. Unique gifts! 11-7 PM. Public Welcome.


Throughout the year: Artists in the School programs, Seedlings Pre-K, Schuylkill County Re-Grant, County & Boro performances throughout Schuylkill County, Newsletter to promote all arts events in the county. Public Welcome!
The SCCA is housed in the historic Yuengling Mansion and is on the National Registry of Historic Places. The building and grounds are available for rent by the public & for tours.
